Manchester “Eco Dad” Try’s Out Energy Meter

The discover for the reporter was the cost of running his home entertainment system – TV etc. at 4p per hour with the potential to save £350 a year if he could eliminate the waste useage.
Dehems Dashboard Goes Live!
Posted by: | CommentsThe DEHEMS Dashboard has now been launched enabling users to view their home energy consumption LIVE! Every six seconds readings are taken via the energy monitor providing a unique insight into how exactly energy is being used.
The aim of DEHEMS is to create the tools for efficient energy usage. Dehems participants will be able to view their own homes data and compare against other DEHEMS users. This should highlight potential energy wasting items ithat could be replaced with more energy efficient ones, saving energy and therefore money in the long run.
Defra Report on the Effectiveness of Feedback on Energy Consumption
